🦉 Introduction

InnoSTEAM – A Seasonal Journey with Willow is proudly aligned with the 2025–2026 eTwinning annual theme “Skills for Life.”
Through seasonal stories, STEAM activities, and international collaboration, our project supports students in developing essential competences for life.

🎯 What Are “Skills for Life”?

The annual theme encourages schools across Europe to focus on the five key competences from the EU Skills Agenda:

• 📚 Literacy – strengthening reading, writing, storytelling, and communication.
• ➗ Mathematics – logical reasoning, problem solving, and everyday math.
• 🔬 Science – inquiry, observation, and understanding the natural world.
• 🌐 Digital Skills – using digital tools creatively, critically, and responsibly.
• 🕊️ Citizenship – respect, collaboration, and active participation in society.

🌍 How Our Project Integrates Skills for Life

• 📚 Literacy: Every activity in the project is introduced by a story with Willow the Owl. These seasonal stories inspire students to read, write, imagine, and communicate, while enhancing their creative and linguistic competences.
• ➗ Mathematics: Students face seasonal math challenges such as measurement, data collection, and problem-solving in real-life contexts.
• 🔬 Science: Seasonal experiments and observations help students explore natural phenomena, climate, and environmental awareness.
• 🌐 Digital Skills: Children design interactive presentations, digital books, and multimedia resources, practicing creativity and safe online collaboration.
• 🕊️ Citizenship: Working in international teams, students learn respect, teamwork, cultural exchange, and the values of active European citizenship.
